New eurolinx poker freerolls

A few weeks ago, Eurolinx.com requested feedback on their Survivor tournaments. 
They would like to thank all of you who took the time to respond.
After absorbing your comments, they are going to change the way they offer Freeroll tournament.

Starting 20th June, Eurolinx will offer $250 Survivor Freerolls, twice a week.
They will replace the daily $50 Freerolls.
Bigger prize, bigger chance of reward, shorter game time.

Those players who prefer standard Freerolls can still enjoy the $25 Daily Freerolls.

Eurolinx will also offer a $500 Survivor Freeroll on the last Sunday of the month.

All Survivor Freerolls will only open for registration 6 hours before the start time.
This should produce fewer ghost players at the table.

All of these decisions have been directly influenced by communication with the players and Eurolinx hope you enjoy the new format.

Poker players from the US can still play

US Poker

Gambling is currently illegal in the United States, but many online poker rooms are still allowing US poker players to play at their sites.
These sites state that poker is a skill gaming and as such the bill that made gambling illegal in the United States does not apply to them.
The poker rooms that have continued to allow US poker players have grown at a much faster rate than those who took the safe way and stopped allowing US poker players to join their sites.
US friendly poker sites include Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars, Cake Poker, Carbon Poker and Ultimate Bet.

PokerStars is by far the biggest poker room online today, with nearly three times more traffic than the second biggest room, Full Tilt Poker.
PokerStars started out not allowing US poker players, but they have since changed their stance and this decision has allowed PokerStars to really grab hold of the online poker market.
At PokerStars US poker players can only withdraw via a personal check, which is not very popular among players who want more withdrawal options.

PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker are the two biggest poker rooms online, and they both accept US players.
There are still other large sites such as Party Poker and Titan Poker who do not accept US poker players. Party Poker was competing to be the biggest poker room online before the gambling bill passed in September of 2006.
After Party Poker decided to not allow US poker players to join their site they quickly lost their ground to PokerStars and Full Tilt are now listed as the fourth biggest poker room online.
The iPoker network, which includes Titan Poker, currently has the third most traffic in online poker despite not allowing US poker players to play at the site.

Other rooms such as Cake Poker, Carbon Poker and Ultimate Bet are also US friendly poker sites and because of this they have a big competitive advantage on the other small poker rooms who do not allow Americans to join.
The fact that both Cake Poker and Carbon Poker allow US poker players is a main reason they were able to gain a play base in the recent years since their launch.

Currently, there are a lot of US friendly poker sites.
In fact almost half of the poker rooms online are now allowing US poker players because they are realizing that in order to compete in the industry they must try to gain a share of the US poker market.
